Alright, folks, it’s time to talk massage etiquette. Whether you’re here for relaxation or to untie those stubborn knots, let’s make your session enjoyable for BOTH of us. Here’s what you should know:
DO:
âś… Take a hot shower before your session. It helps relax your muscles and, honestly, it just makes everything more pleasant. Nobody wants to deal with Eau de Gym Bag.
✅ Communicate. Too much pressure? Not enough? Ticklish? Tell me! I’m good, but mind-reading isn’t part of my certification.
✅ Laugh if you need to. Some spots are ticklish or sensitive—it happens! Just know giggles are welcome, but I’m not responsible if you set off a chain reaction of snorts.
✅ Relax… but not TOO much. Yes, I’m talking about that. If you feel a little gassy, try to clench. I won’t judge an accidental toot (we’re all human), but let’s not turn this into a symphony of surprises.
DON’T:
❌ Grab the masseur. My job is to touch you, not the other way around. No matter how good it feels, keep those hands to yourself! (Pro tip: gripping the table is encouraged if the pressure is intense.)
❌ Skip deodorant. Fresh pits = a better experience for everyone. Enough said.
❌ Overdo the perfume or cologne. Let’s keep it subtle—our aromatherapy oils already set the mood.
❌ Be shy about saying something’s uncomfortable. A massage isn’t the time for a stiff upper lip. Speak up! I’d rather adjust than have you leave feeling worse.
Bonus Tips for a Great Massage Experience:
If you feel the urge to fart… hey, it happens. Just aim for stealth mode. If it slips out, don’t worry—I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it.
Please don’t mistake me for a climbing wall. Trust me, I won’t run away mid-massage, so you don’t need to hold on.
Your massage should be relaxing, restorative, and maybe even a little fun. Follow these tips, and we’ll both leave the session smiling (for all the right reasons).
